Here I am at the Oregon/Arizona game. There were more celebrities on hand than usual. Behind me are Joey Harrington, Ahmad Rashad, and Phil Knight. I also saw NBA great Jerome Kersey, NFL greats Dave Wilcox and Chris Miller, ABC commentator Brent Musberger, and the SI.com girl, Jenn Sterger.

>Nightlife

I'm thinking about starting my nightlife project again. I suppose I never really stopped, but I'm going to push much harder on it this year. I went out last night for 2 hours. I went to three bars and stayed for a short time. I just wanted to get a feel for it.

>Wayne Eastburn

>Tonight Wayne and I crossed paths when he was shooting an earlier game of the double-header at South Eugene High School. I shot his photo as he was finishing up. Wayne is 76-years-old and has been working at The Register-Guard since the 1960's. Most of that time has been on the late shift covering prep sports.

>Wrestling Audio Slideshow

Added on by Thomas Boyd.

>Click the link above to see an audio slideshow of a wrestling tournament I shot last Saturday. The assignment was to shoot a few Cottage Grove wrestlers for the Prep Week sport page. I could have been done in about an hour. Since it was my only assignment Saturday I decided to stay for the entire 10-hours of the tournement and capture some audio. This is the result. Again, I'm doing things like this for purpose of fine-tuning my audio capture and editing skills. Getting good audio is much harder than it looks and I can use all the practice I can get.

My 8-year-old daughter, Greta, is developing into a quite an artist. I'm not just saying that because I'm her father. Okay, I am, but she is truly very good. I'm serious.

>Eugene, Baby...Lensbaby, That Is!

So, I bought a Lensbaby Original used off of Sportsshooter. On occassion, when I remember I actually own one, I whip it out and to see what stuff looks like photographed with one. Why not? Some photographers say it's gimmicky or cliche'. Of course it is! But, what the hell. I have one and I'm going to use it.

By the way, this is downtown Eugene, Oregon, as seen from Skinner Butte. The Butte in the photo is Spencer Butte.

>Terwilliger Hot (cold) Springs

Added on by Thomas Boyd.

>I went to Terwilliger Hot Springs this morning. I was thinking there would be a lot more steam given the ambient temperature. But, at least there was a goodly amount of snow still on the ground and a few brave souls willing to expose themselves to the elements.
