Not really. But, I had Sol Neelman shoot a few pix of me for my bio page on my web site. I haven't decided what to use yet. I'm thinking reshoot.

>Haunted House

Added on by Thomas Boyd.

>This guy popped his head out in the haunted house at the Enchanted Forest. The kids were scared silly, but I had time to place the lens on the glass and shoot a photo before he dropped down again.

>Painted Footprints

Added on by Thomas Boyd.

>I stopped by the Painted Hills on my way to John Day. The light was super flat but I saw these foot prints across one of the hills. I'm not really sure if they are human or animal, but I sure wanted to walk up there. I just didn't want to pay the fine.

>Ward Churchill Visits U of O

Added on by Thomas Boyd.

>
University of Oregon college republicans, Josh Lusby, left to right, Anthony Warren, and Ben Mortire protest outside the Erb Memorial Union Ballroom where Ward Churchill will speak at the University of Oregon, May 19, 2006, in Eugene, Oregon. Churchill is an American writer, liberal activist, and academic. He is a tenured full professor of ethnic studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and author of over twenty books and hundreds of essays. Churchill was widely discussed and criticized in the media during 2005, stimulated by publicity given to a 2001 essay in which Churchill questioned the innocence of many of the people killed in the World Trade Center attacks, labeling them as "technocrats" and "little Eichmanns." A University of Colorado investigation concluded in May 2006 that Churchill has repeatedly engaged in "serious research misconduct," including "falsification, fabrication, plagiarism, failure to comply with standard procedures regarding author names on publications and other serious deviations from accepted practices".

I shot this downtown Eugene at the McDonald Theater last Saturday night. It was chock full of bone-crunching, blood-squirting, and sweat-showering fun for the whole family. Not my family, but others brought their entire family including the kids!

>Viva El Salvador

This photo kind of cracked me up. It looks like a coup de tate on steps of the Oregon State Capitol.

Here's the caption:
Joseph Lara, 18, of Woodburn, Ore., waves an El Salvadoran flag near the steps of the Oregon State Capitol as fellow immigration rights supporters gather Monday, May 1, 2006, in Salem, Ore. Immigration rights supporters skipped work and rallied across the state Monday, part of the nationwide boycott intended to showcase the economic clout of the nation's growing Latino population.

How time flies. I just realized I haven't posted in awhile. I coughed up this photo I shot last week at a shopping mall that was under construction. I was a frustrating experience, becauses I knew there was a better photo to made there. I just kept thinking how much better this could be.

>Steeple Strobe

Added on by Thomas Boyd.

>Most of the Oregon Invite was in the dark. It went until almost 11:30 p.m. They had really nice lights set up, except the they weren't that bright on the steeplechase trap. I set up two strobes and triggered them with infrared. It severely limited my options, but I think it looked pretty cool.

>Hillbilly Yoga

Added on by Thomas Boyd.

>Sol's friend's Inka and Peter came to America. And, they blew the crap out of the countryside. Shooting in Germany is a difficult and arduous process. Not here. We loaded up my hardware and headed into the hills. I brought the Colt .45, the Remington .280 and the Marlin lever-action .22. It was also Sol's first time shooting. They loved it.

>Young Wyatt Smith

Added on by Thomas Boyd.

>I thought this photo was pretty funny considering young Wyatt is only 5-months old. He appears to be much older. He appears to thinking about something complex, but really he's just thinking about milk and poop.

We take Easter pretty serious here in the Boyd family. We start a week early with the big meals and easter egg coloring and hunting. This is from the first phase in North Bend at my sisters.
