This this Sol's portfolio. It's a Quicktime show of his best work. It's not bad except for the glaring obvious lack of what we call in the business a, "Picture Story." He knows about this serious omission he just isn't willing to do anything about it. He won't listen to me...or Rob Finch.

This invitation has expired. Their birthday was Aug. 25. But, I thought it was cool enough to put up. Besides, they're so cute.
>Siuslaw River
>
I spent most of the day struggling to find a decent feature picture in Florence, Ore. This is normally an easy task. Florence has the dunes, the beach, lakes, parks, and plenty of people doing things outdoors. A storm hit and everyone stayed indoors. The sky was white. I decided to wait until the sun went down. This is the image I sent. It shows the marina on the Siuslaw River as seen from the boardwalk on Bay Street.
Technical Info: I shot this on a Canon 20D with a 24/1.4 lens at 800 asa. I put the white balance on tungsten and underexposed it by almost 2 stops to give it a saturated cool tone look. In photoshop I clipped the shadows and highlights. I lightened the boats in curves using the history tool, darkened the sky and ran Velvia Vision over it for contrast and saturation.

>Take a look...every day.
>This is a site that has a new photo on it's home page every day. Hence the name. Not only are there a ton of portfolio and picture story galleries, the associated blog is really good for finding good sites related to photography.

Man, that is a deal! Free candy canes! I would tell you where but I don't want to ruin a good thing. It's like a favorite fishing hole.

>Appreciating Christmas
>
I've studied parenting very carefully I've found that children should have to work for everything they get. Not only did I have them water this tree every week I had them trim it every summer. Today I had them cut it down with a nail file and drag it over 400 yards to the truck.
They will appreciate Christmas whether they want to or not. They will thank me later.
>Double-truck!
